On April 29, 2022, Joppa Magnolia and Mutual aide departments were alerted for a townhouse fire in the 1900BLK Brookside Dr. Units arrived to find a fully involved end of the group town home that had spread to adjacent homes. A second alarm was requested bringing additional resources to the scene. In total, four units were either destroyed or damaged. All residents effected are being assisted by disaster assistance. Maryland State Fire Marshals Office is investigating the cause. No injuries were reported.
