JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
EMS ADMINISTRATOR
Full-Time, Exempt Employee
Starting Salary: $52,000.00
The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, Inc., is seeking a qualified individual to serve as its
EMS Administrator.
The EMS Administrator shall administer and support, in conjuncture with its Career Services
Committee, the paid EMS staff, including recommending hiring, discipline, termination and
maintenance of all personnel matters, including scheduling, payroll, benefits and adequate recordkeeping
in compliance with all Federal and State laws and County regulations. The Administrator
shall collaborate with the Career Services Committee to develop Company-wide policies and
procedures related to its paid EMS program. The Administrator shall also be responsible for filling
EMS staff shortages as needed and provide emergency medical services to the citizens of Harford
County at a paramedic level.
All employees are subject to a one (1) year probationary period. The selected candidate must pass a
background, drug and physical examination.
Minimum Requirements: - NRP, Maryland Certified EMT-P,
- Cleared to Function as an ALS provider in Harford County.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License
- EVOC or Equivalent
- HAZMAT Ops
- MIEMSS QA Certification (may be obtained post employment)
